'We had our wedding at the Grove House Hotel in July. Our ceremony was in the garden and was truly magical so beautiful. The staff, wedding coordinator and management worked so well together ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The food was amazing and so well presented. The room both during the day and evening looked stunning.
Many of our guests have since told us it was the most beautiful, relaxed and enjoyable wedding they have been to.
Nothing was to much trouble throughout planning and our day.

'I cannot speak highly enough about the Grove House and the staff there for the professional yet warm and friendly way the wedding was executed, I was best man at the wedding and found Carl and the staff (from the daytime waiting staff to the bar staff at the evening reception) extremely valuable, nothing was too much trouble. They made the whole day stress free and thoroughly enjoyable. We stayed in the hotel that evening and found the rooms spotless and very comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about a venue for a wedding to consider the Grove House. We were lucky enough to be the first to have access to the brand new Gazebo in the garden which is a fantastic setting and added a special touch to the ceremony. I would like to thank Carl and all the staff on the day for making it so special, Next time I'm in the area I will stay there again without hesitation. Thanks again folks'

Booked a meal for 15 family members to celebrate my dads 70th birthday. On arrival we sat in the lounge area to have a pre-dinner drink. Whilst having our drink we were given menus and our order was taken. Once our food was ready we were shown to the table. This process provided a nice relaxed atmosphere allowing the entire group to socialise. The food and service were excellent, very attentative without being over bearing, relaxed and very professional, all of our party commented on this with a couple of our party who don’t live locally saying how they wished the Grove House was local to them so that they could visit more often. After the meal we had coffee and more drinks in the lounge area which they had reserved for us. The evening was excellent and the entire family enjoyed the birthday celebration. A big thank you to the Grove House for making our evening so enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

We and two friends enjoyed an excellent meal last Sunday evening - the staff were very attentive from the moment we walked through the door - a comfortable seating area to view the menu and very pleasant dining room.
The meals arrived in a short time with courteous staff waiting on asking if everything was to our liking.
The food was delicious, well cooked and presented.
For less than £25 per head we and our friends were very impressed.

From the minute of arrival to leaving, the proprietor plus all staff were very welcoming and accommodating; indeed they catered to any and every request asked and always with a smile, NOTHING was too much trouble for them. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, the snacks provided appreciated. Breakfast offered a wide variety, anyone's taste or dietary needs considered and catered for. The grounds are well maintained, lovely to relax in, whilst weddings are also catered for hence an ideal location if you should be considering this. We would highly recommend this hotel for either an overnight stay or longer.
My Sister and I would like to say a special THANK YOU to Nick (the proprietor), for the unexpected yet delicious slices of Gateau he sent up to us when we requested something 'a little sweet' to have with our drink. Our Brother was happy and grateful for the pot of honey and hot water provided for his sore throat, these little extras were much appreciated. Additionally, we would like to add that the cleaning staff were very friendly, the waitresses most helpful, whilst the Receptionist took time away from her duties to take photographs of us.... Thank you all.

On Saturday 27th. September 2014, the leaders and adult supporters of our Birkenhead Sea Scout Group celebrated 80 years of Scouting at the Grove House. We enjoyed a fantastic meal and excellent service. Nick Burns, owner helped us immensely in the organisation of the event and all our special requests were granted with the minimum of fuss. We would recommend the Hotel as a venue for a large celebration and would certainly return in the near future.

Many of my friends have visited this hotel for meals & all rave about the food, the service & atmosphere. I decided to take my wife for an overnight stay combined with a superb meal and from the warm welcome to the fond farewell I can honestly say I couldn't find a fault. Amazing food, comfortable beds clean rooms & a most engaging host. Go soon; discover for yourself how good this place is. Even if it's just for a meal do visit....superb

Spotlessly clean and the food was delicious.
Staff were excellent - friendly but professional.
I forgot my hairbrush and the owner went out and bought one for me and would not take payment. I then left my phone charger in the room and it was posted back free of charge!
We were due to be back quite late at night but that was absolutely no problem for them.
A problem with the heating was immediately solved.
I would not hesitate to recommend it!

I stayed here for 3 nights and have to say I was most pleasantly surprised by my experience. The service and warmth of the staff was incredible. The owner and his family were charming and everyone from the waiting staff to reception put themselves out to make you feel welcome. My room was spotless and little touches such as a welcome basket of fruit and chocolate was a welcome extra. The breakfast deserves a special mention, beautifully cooked to order with a table of fresh fruits and cereals, this was quality you usually see in top rated hotels. What makes this place special is the staff and the friendly 'can do attitude'. Will definitely be back. Thank you.
